Duties

Senior Safety Manager and principal advisor to the Safety Director on all accident prevention matters. Monitor mission operational plans and policies to ensure safety and risk management concepts are integrated into command policies. Write safety policy and regulations for Commanding General approval. Participate in on-site visits throughout the US Army Pacific theater to assist subordinate units. Point of contact for safety policy development, program implementation, and oversight through the US Army Pacific Organizational.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This is an Emergency Essential (E-E) position subject to deployment. May be required to participate in readiness exercises and training.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical exam.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance Inspection and Program ManagementManaging Human ResourcesOral CommunicationPolicy DevelopmentSafety and Occupational Health (SOH) Hazard Control Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
