Duties
Senior Safety Manager and principal advisor to the Safety Director on all accident prevention matters.
Monitor mission operational plans and policies to ensure safety and risk management concepts are integrated into command policies.
Write safety policy and regulations for Commanding General approval.
Participate in on-site visits throughout the US Army Pacific theater to assist subordinate units.
Point of contact for safety policy development, program implementation, and oversight through the US Army Pacific Organizational.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is an Emergency Essential (E-E) position subject to deployment. May be required to participate in readiness exercises and training.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical exam.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience applying safety and occupational health laws, regulations, principles, theories, practices, and procedures to advise on or resolve technical matters dealing with military safety and occupational health management programs; and developing safety and occupational health standards, practices, and procedures to eliminate or minimize safety issues and potential hazards. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
