This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for providing support for data management platforms and business reporting mechanisms internal and external. As the expert for business data this position responds to data inquiries; develops applicable user guides; facilitates training activities; collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. Develops business-specific presentations leveraging data sources for multiple audiences.
Duties
As a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (DATAMGT) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Performs data management activities such as executing internal and external stakeholder data requests, raw data file analysis, integration, aggregation, loading, transformation cleansing, defining, and customizing of data to a format compatible for use with DTMO application.
Responsible for providing support for all data management platforms and business reporting mechanisms for internal and external customers.
Provides technical SQL/TSQL, PL/SQL stored procedures, SQL scripts, extract transform load (ETL) and online transactions processing (OLAP) Tool and triggers to build data warehouses and data marts and develop reports, dashboards, and visualization tools and Business Intelligence (BI) products.
Provides technical guidance for database software assurance and configuration management for the DTMO IT infrastructure. Establishes mechanisms to monitor and report on the performance of data management initiatives.
Collaborates with security and privacy teams to define data security controls and access policies. Ensures data privacy requirements are integrated into data management practices and governance frameworks. Monitors data access and usage to prevent unauthorized disclosure or breaches.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Work with SQL, PL/SQL stored procedures, extract transform load (ETL) and online transactions processing (OLAP) Tool and triggers to build data warehouses and data marts.
Manage a portfolio of projects, work independently, respond to data requests for information and supports all levels of the organization including senior-level managers.
Developing logical data models to be translated into workable physical database schema and structures in the database development process.
