Duties
As a Lead Property Management Specialist you will:
Serve as a team lead and primary point of contact for CDC property stewards, Management Officials and the Office of Safety Security and Asset Management (OSSAM) on all property matters within the organization.
Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services
Analyze, plan, coordinate, and establish goals for the property management program for all property assigned to their respective organization
Perform compliance reviews of property management operations to detect and correct faulty methods and procedures. Maintains current records for all property within the assigned custodial area
Develop, communicate, and enforce internal organizational procedures.
Provide expert advice to organizational custodians and staff in the use of appropriate property management policies and procedures, and the training of custodians within the organization

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level, which must include the following experience with: inventory management, developing technical requirements to manage multiple inventories, conducting wall-to-wall inventories providing documentation on findings, managing annual budgets, and leadership skills establishing priorities and deadlines to accomplish specific tasks and missions..
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
College or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools which meet these criteria, please refer to
