As a/an Director Homeownership Center, you will:
Direct the a supervisory staff who manage the professional, technical and clerical staff required for the production and risk asset management of Single Family Housing programs, including but not limited to: loan production; asset management; disposition of real estate owned; new initiatives; initial project planning; technical processing phases; customer service; and quality assurance.
Assure that supervisors and employees are aware of Single Family Housing's program goals and are involved in their development, including the development of local goals.
Identify problems and trends and develops appropriate corrective strategies.
Interpret regulations, policies and procedures for FHA Single Family clients, program intermediaries (both public and private) and the media to further the aims of the National Housing Act and other related HUD statutes relevant to the Department's and Single Family Housing's goals and programs.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Programmatic and/or administrative management experience at a lending institution, real estate asset management entity, housing counseling, non-profit, or affordable housing program; AND
- Responsibility for lending, audit, oversight, compliance, quality control and/or quality assurance of funding and service delivery.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
