You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the COMMAND INFORMATION OFFICE, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (CIO2) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
You will evaluate work performance of subordinates; recommend and/or approve awards.
You will audit requirement for IT computer systems including specifications for individual systems and agency policies and procedures for specific IT functions such as security or systems development.
You will prepare capital investment plans to support the organizations' mission.
You will provide technical guidance in the design, coding, testing, and debugging process.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Strategic Planning and Policy Devolopment within 12 months of appointment.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Interpreting and identifying relevant IT information including industry standards and practices; 2.) Using cost benefit analysis methods, performance metrics, IT goals and objectives, capital planning principles and methods, policy and planning processes, and the enterprise architecture to support an organization's mission; 3.) Analyzing business needs and practices of customer to determine appropriate solutions; 4.) Leading the implementation of management decisions in IT policies and plans. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
