You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the Command Information Office (CIO) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will serve as the technical expert and program manager on all ICS IT support issues to the Command Information Officer, IT Division Head,
Business Line/Support Line/Product Line managers and all other managers and employees.
You will administer information assurance (IA) programs to support the operation of information technology (IT) networks or infrastructures.
You will evaluate information technology (IT) operation performance to resolve problems (e.g., excessive failures, delays, high operating costs).
You will brief senior leaders on problematic trends and patterns (e.g., technology maturity, availability, costs, risks) in an information technology
(IT) program.
You will write information technology (IT) customer support policies to define support processes and procedures.
You will delegate tasks to junior employees based on work priorities and individual capabilities.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in
SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 801 level Expert within 12 months of appointment.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and
category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review
the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report,
OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that
are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ) Demonstrates experience in analyzing,installing, configuring, enhancing and/or maintaining the components of an enterprise network and/or systems; 2) Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, project management, and governance skills; 3) Possesses analysis, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills while working with a variety of departments and shareholders who may have different goals for a project; 4) Manages or assists in the management of Information Technology(IT); and 5) Leads or participates in projects related to infrastructure operating and maintenance plans for Information Assurance (IA) and IT, through evaluation of system design, condition, constraints, future requirements, etc.
