You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the REGIONAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DIVISION of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will establish daily tasks of information technology (IT) staff to verify work is completed based on priorities. You will implement information technology (IT) policy to support IT laws and regulations, as well as, manage the IT Portfolio Management and IT Requirements Board. You will analyze information technology (IT) systems and software requirements to determine design specifications. You will manage application modernization activities, including cloud application rationalization, to determine which applications should be kept, replaced, decommissioned, consolidated, or migrated to a cloud environment. You will lead cross-functional project teams and manage monitor information technology (IT) project activities, including software development activities, to ensure strategic alignment with project goals and objectives. You will collaborate with senior leaders and mission owners to define information technology (IT) project scope, goals, and deliverables; develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets. You will provide regular status updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders. You will collaborate with cyber personnel and perform Information System Owner (ISO) activities, including continuous monitoring and Authority to Operate (ATO) renewals, in accordance with DODI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF). You will ensure threats are identified, mitigated, and remediated to an acceptable level of risk.

Requirements

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 74 - Security Program Management within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring program compliance with federal, command, and local IT policies and procedures; 2) Project management expertise in leading and directing IT related projects with focus on translating requirements into design specifications that meet with IT policy and requirements; 3) Analyzing multiple factors (i.e. user requirements, system documentation, operational conditions, etc.) to determine if IT systems are operating efficiently to meet business needs; and 4) Providing the full range of supervisory services to subordinates (i.e. planning work, evaluating performance, recommending personnel actions, etc.). NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
