About the Position: Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) mission statement: To receive, store, ship, produce, renovate and demilitarize conventional ammunition, missiles and related components to meet contingency requirements in support of the warfighter.
The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13.
Duties
Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, set-up, and reporting of assigned projects/program segment(s).
Manages and monitors execution of production/manufacturing programs, ensuring commitments, obligations, and deliverables meet customer requirements and agreements.
Conducts performance ratings, establishing interview questions and rating criteria, selecting new employees, providing counsel and advice to subordinates on work-related problems, and identifying developmental and training needs.
Reviews assigned organization to determine whether maximum utilization is realized, making changes in personnel assignments or program changes when necessary to better accomplish its mission, meet emergencies, or high-priority needs.
Assists technical and managerial personnel in procurement planning.
Recommends procurement methods, types of contracts, explores innovative contract methods, etc. for the procurement of technical services for production/manufacturing support.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Certification Practitioner within 60 months of entrance on duty.

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-2/GS-11) in the Federal service which includes:
1) Providing reports on ammunition programs to include proposals, cost estimates, updated schedules, and/or funding expenditures. 2) Managing ammunition manufacturing programs to include monitoring execution of production. 3) Monitoring ammunition program areas to include, trends, significant accomplishments, deficiencies, areas of imbalance, actual problem areas and/or potential problem areas. 4) Assisting staff with ammunition project requirements to include determining project budgets, schedules, and/or the number of personnel required to complete project. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11 or NH-02 equivalency.
