A successful candidate will serve as a Program Analyst in NNSA's Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs and will be responsible for extensive knowledge and expert understanding of the full array of program management principles, policies, laws, regulations, and procedures to perform analytical and/or administrative staff assignments of exceptional scope and difficulty.

As a Program Analyst, you will perform the following duties for the following grades:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
You must possess the following specialized experience depending on the grade you're applying for:
NQ-03: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band level or GS grade level (NQ-02 or GS-12) in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience conducting at least 3 of the following activities:
1. Providing advice and guidance to senior program, project, or field site managers and their staffs
2. Working on national security-related programs
3. Working on analytical studies
4. Partnering with stakeholder organizations
5. Effectively communicating orally and in writing
NQ-04: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band level or GS grade level (NQ-03 or GS-14) in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience conducting at least 3 of the following activities:
1. Providing expert advice and guidance to senior program, project, or field site managers and their staffs
2. Managing national security-related programs
3. Planning, organizing leading or personally performing analytical studies
4. Partnering with stakeholder organizations
5. Effectively communicating highly complex, sensitive issues
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must meet all of the requirements as described in this section.
