Duties
You will lead and manage a team of technical experts in the execution of availability work packages and support of Post Delivery (PD) events and milestones.
You will review team inputs and technical recommendations on issues and communicate relevant concerns and comments to the Program Office and the Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP).
You will serve as an expert on Hull, Mechanical and Electrical and Combat Systems ship construction efforts.
You will develop Industrial Post Delivery Availability (IPDA) work packages.
You will coordinate all organizations participating in the PD (Post Delivery) events and availabilities.
You will monitor ships for new work requirements.
You will manage growth work, author and authorize new work items, expedite work, and track the status of IPDA work package items and deficiencies.
You will develop and provide a weekly status report to the Production Director.
You will provide long range plans for the cost, performance, schedule of diverse teams and acquisition efforts within the scope of assigned areas; exercises significant judgment and experience to establish priorities.
You will brief senior leadership and makes recommendations based on findings.
You will prepare coordinated reports, presentations and briefings in support of program actions.
You will analyze requirements to develop program reporting including the specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and evaluation methodology.
You will lead studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects to evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, and/or compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.
You will develop evaluation plans, metrics, procedures, and methodology as a result of studies performed.
You will coordinate all organizations participating in Builder's Trials (BT) events.
You will coordinate all organizations, including the Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV), participating in Acceptance Trials (AT) events.
You will assist with Production Officer and Production Director with the new construction ship delivery process.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assessing availability progress, reviewing, or providing technical guidance and analysis to the execution of Post Delivery availabilities and events for builder's trials, acceptance trials and delivery.
