Duties

Use comprehensive knowledge or quality assurance methods, principles, and practices to plan, direct, and accomplish quality assurance assignments. Use knowledge of aircraft, related equipment and supplies, including manufacturing and processing methods, testing and inspection techniques, to conduct quality control audits. Lead team as senior Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist, coordinating and reviewing work assignments. Review, analyze, and interpret regulations, publications and directives pertinent to quality systems and technical work requirements. Develop, execute and evaluate policies, procedures, plans and test provisions for QA requirements throughout the various phrases of the systems acquisition cycle. Conduct quality evaluation surveys, review work processes being used, safety practices, use of and condition of tools, accuracy and condition of technical references. Interpret and analyze contractual requirements related to the Depot's Commercial Service Agreements (CSA) program and specifications to determine the best and most efficient methods in evaluating contractor level of performance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Experience using quality assurance methods, principles, and practices, (2) Experience in identifying manufacturing and processing methods, testing and inspection techniques, (3) Knowledge of the interrelationship of functional parts and assemblies of aircrafts, and (4) Experience inputting, reviewing, and analyzing maintenance data in a computerized enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes InformationProblem SolvingQuality Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
