About the Position: The position serves as Supervisory Medical Education Program Administrator, at Madigan Army Medical Center, Hospital Education and Training, Graduate Education Program, Tacoma, Washington.
Duties
Serve as the Supervisory Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Graduate Medical Education Program Administrator.
Responsible for the review, approval, development, marketing, and implementation of CME/GME for Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC).
Perform special functions in planning, organizing, guiding, and development of new graduate educational programs.
Prepare documents and reports regarding training effectiveness and recommendations for systematic changes to graduate level programs.
Advise Senior Leaders on budget allocation and needs assess for short- and long-term planning.
Review- and coordinate contract proposals to ensure services and/or contracts optimize staffing and capabilities.
Set priorities and assigning work to subordinates.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation (NACI) (TIER 1).
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing a combination of various management services such as personnel, budget, and management analysis; developing budget estimates and justifications ensuring that funds are used in accordance with the operating budget ; analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency, of the administration of medical education of training programs; providing staff advice, assistance, and consultation in response to a wide variety of administrative procedures, taskings, and response to Congressional and Inspector General inquiries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
