About the Position: Serves as the District Project Controls Officer for project management, control, and coordination, of Civil Works, Environmental, Interagency, International, Operations, Regulatory, and Military projects, and programs.
Duties
Responsible for the development and coordination of assigned programs and documentation requirements to ensure data management.
Maintains data quality of the software applications through incorporation of project management business requirements.
Identifies systemic budgeting and scheduling problems and recommend policy or procedural revisions to improve schedule and budget accomplishments.
Controls project schedules, milestones, and budgets from preliminary stages through design, construction, and operations.
Monitors project funds and milestones consistent with scheduled work, and measure performance to assure commitment are maintained.
Provides input for the development and assessment of workload projections by synchronizing the efforts among resource providers.
Analyzes the effectiveness of program operations according to established goals and objectives and advise on the distribution of work among appropriate staffing.
Develops and distributes lists of current and future projects for workload forecasting and resource planning.
Liaise with program managers to share information and articulate future workload projections and manpower requirements.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Development and coordination of programs and data management; 2) Planning, scheduling, estimating and risk assessment of projects and programs; 3) Monitoring project schedules, milestones and efficiency; and 4) Communication of project workloads, forecasting and liaison with stakeholders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
