About the Position: This is a PERMANENT Training Specialist (Facilitator) position with the U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training U.S. Army Master Resilience School located at Fort Jackson, SC.
Duties
Implements courses of instruction in small and intermediate group settings, and other special or abbreviated courses as required.
Conducts job and task analysis, selection of tasks for training, determination of training sites, design of training objectives and test materials.
Employs various techniques in accordance with the Army Learning Model to deliver required training and course content.
Provides assistance to training organizations in implementation of new educational developments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 30% of the time.
- Incumbent must complete the Master Resilience Training Course (MRT-C) Level 1 course at authorized locations within 30 days of hire.
- Incumbent must complete the Master Resilience Training Course (MRT-F) Level 2 course at authorized locations within 4 months of entry.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes (1)instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation or industrial establishment; (2) administering a training program; and (3) development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, evaluation of training results. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, training or adult education.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
