About the Position: Serves as an Engineering Technician with duties related to Project Management, Project Engineering and Quality Assurance Representation (PM/PE/QA) and may concurrently be working on one or more projects at a time.
Duties
Project Management - Responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
Project Engineering Technical Work - Performs constructability review of more complex plans and specifications to determine practicability.
Quality Assurance - Performs the full range of quality assurance functions.
Safety - Enforces safety requirements of the contract.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 - This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Contracting Officer's Representative Certification within 24 months of appointment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes program management of construction work in support of Military Construction, Civil Works and Interagency projects, including new construction, renovation, conversions, rehabilitations, and additions; developing construction cost estimates; monitoring construction progress, quality, and compliance with codes, plans and specifications; developing scopes of work for construction projects; inspecting materials and workmanship to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with contractual requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
