You will serve as a Simplified Acquisition Program (SAP) Coordinator for Code 80 of NAVSRFWARCEN DET. This NT-05 position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 grade levels. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13, Step 10 (currently $136,323).

Duties

You will function as the Code 80 SAP Coordinator for the Little Creek (DIV 83) and Propulsor (DIV 808) groups. You will perform research development test and evaluation (RDTE), life cycle maintenance and repairs of US Navy combatant craft. You will perform state of the art design, engineering and manufacturing of submarine e propulsors for the Virginia and Columbia programs. You will meet bi-weekly with program managers and leadership to review the status of all active SAPs. You will interface with the Technical Advisors (TA's) on procurement requirements, SAP package assessment and development, contract purchase request form generation and submission and award monitoring. You will ensure award and delivery, invoice monitoring, WAWF acceptance and financial closeout for all SAP procurements. You will generate the SAP tracker in Excel. You will post all completed SAP packages to SharePoint for historical review and analysis. You will lead SAP Forums where user feedback is attained via lessons learned from TA's.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing or evaluating the effectiveness of procurement or purchasing program operations in order to recommend changes or identify areas of improvement of planning or forecasting for an organization related to procurement processes.
