Duties

Provide oversight regarding financial management activities. Write statements justifying funding, manpower, or operations requirements. Exercise responsibility for the continued development, coordination, and evaluation of an effective integrated resource management program. Provide coordinated financial management, budget services, manpower/management analysis, program management, and Commercial Activities programs in execution of the Garrison's mission and programs. Through subordinate managers and supervisors assign, direct, and evaluate work of the subordinate organizational elements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012.
