About the Position: Serves as a project manager/staff action officer for the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of the Army (Financial Management and Comptroller) (ASA (FM&C)). Implements Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives throughout a geographically dispersed organization, seeking to provide a framework that provides the methods and means to efficiently share knowledge among individuals and distribute relevant information where and when it is needed.

Duties

Establishes methodology for sharing these KM practices across command employees using the command and enterprise KM platforms. Partners and collaborates across the organization to ensure content of the knowledge databases throughout the organization and KM information are current, relevant, iterative, non-duplicative, and follow review and approval processes. Determines how the knowledge content will be structured, shared, controlled, and made easily accessible for the non-homogenous needs of the organization’s community. Assists the organization’s senior leadership in driving the organization in desired cultural changes by developing organizational vision and goals within the ASA (FMC) Annual Plan.

Specialized Experience. 1 year of specialized experience which includes gathering the requirements for planning and executing Knowledge Management initiatives; analyzing the goals, problems, practices, and resources of an organization in order assess readiness for knowledge management; implementing strategies to enhance explicit and tacit knowledge production, management, and sharing within the organization; engaging senior level audiences to promote understanding and action in support of Knowledge Management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). percentages.
