You will serve as a Materials Handler Leader in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties
You will serve as a work leader primarily responsible for warehouse operations and is a fully trained in material handling, packing functions and supply quality assurance.
You will control work flow of branch personnel, carries out instructions given by higher authority, and sets the pace for work to be accomplished.
You will investigate cause(s) of shipping, receiving, storage and other types of physical distribution discrepancies and takes corrective action to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
You will load and unload various types of vehicles using a wide range of material handling equipment (MHE) (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks, side loaders, and trucks).
You will transport items to and from the delivery vehicle as required and assists customers in obtaining delivery information upon request.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operator certification.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- The work requires standing, sitting, walking and carrying items up to 70lbs. (e.g. files, boxes, supplies, etc.).

The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to perform the full range of WL-6907-06 tasks on my own initiative including working along with other employees to receive, handle, store and issue materials in accordance with the prescribed procedures; conducting inventories to determine the basis for over, short, or misplaced items.; conducting periodic location surveys / inspections in accordance with published instructions; ensuring all items transported and/or stored have proper material identification labels to include material information, dates, categories, and type of material; preparing issue, receipt and inventory documents; loads and unloads various types of vehicles using a wide range of material handling equipment (MHE) (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks, side loaders, and trucks); updating the DSS / Navy ERP data base with all receipts, storage and issue transactions; preparing shipping documents, as required by the various regulatory agencies, and ensuring that they are properly maintained throughout the transportation process.
