About the Position: This position is located at US ARMY 1ST SPECIAL FORCES COMMAND Task Force 40-25, G39, Fort Liberty, NC. Duties

Serving as the Deputy G39, Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of all ongoing and proposed ARSOF IO activities and evolving mission requirements. Analyzes problems discovered in prior studies or operations. Provides critical continuity in view of the frequent changes of military personnel. Generates recommendations for new programs, policies, strategies, studies and approaches, and advises senior-level military and civilian leadership.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This is a TERM not to exceed 2 Years position.
  • Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test screening, and random testing thereafter,
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • Employee must be willing to deploy for periods of time extending outside of the 25% TDY travel expectation but not to exceed 179 days.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Developing implementation guidance for policies and guidance covering planning, execution, and assessment of Army Special Operations Forces (ARSOF) Support the integration of policies and guidance for all ARSOF Information-Related Capabilities (IRC). Assist development of policies and guidance for Special Technical Operation (STO) and Special Access Programs (SAP) as they relate to the IRCs. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
