This position serves as a Community Engagement Specialist in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Northwest Mountain Regional Office, Office of Policy, International Affairs & Environment (APL), National Engagement and Regional Administration (ARA) and serves as the primary focal point for resolution and collection of noise related issues/complaints.
Duties
Primary responsibilities are to support community engagement activities in the Regional Administrator’s office. Works closely with the Community Engagement Officer developing, coordinating, and presenting agency positions on community outreach activities associated with FAA projects likely to engender community noise concerns. Has a key role in public engagement activities, such as coordination with Lines of Business and Staff Offices, public workshops, working with internal or external stakeholders, and/or providing project management support.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Successful completion of a security investigation will be required.
- Interviews may be conducted.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FV-I, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-10/11/12 level.Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Experience leading or organizing aspects of community engagement, community concerns, or outreach activities or serving as a project historian that includes tracking, reporting, and project management and/or documentation AND experience in communicating information and building relationships with various audiences such as the General Public, Government Officials, Aviation or Community Stakeholders.Quality Ranking FactorsThe following KSA's are Qualify Ranking Factors. A Quality Ranking Factor is a Knowledge, Skill or Ability that could be expected to significantly enhance performance in a position.
