This position serves as an Airport Airspace Specialist for the Office of Airports

Duties

Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. May act as a contributing specialist on large work activities or as a project manager or team leader for large projects/programs/activities.

• US Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).

• This vacancy is for a position that will physically report to Des Moines, WA

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.To qualify at the FV-I level, you must demonstrate in your resume specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12. Specialized experience for this position includes:Experience interpreting and applying knowledge of public Laws and acts related to the airport operating environment, including the Airport Improvement Program; Airport Capital Improvement Program; Sponsor Compliance Obligations; Airport Master Records; Airport Layout Plans; Land Use Plans; and/or Airport Master Plans (i.e. FAA Order 7400.2, 14 CFR Part 77, 14 CFR Part 157 and FAA Form 5010).Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.As a part of the Federal-Wide Hiring Reform Initiative (streamlining the hiring process), the FAA is committed to eliminating the use of the Knowledge, Skills and Ability (KSA) narratives from the initial application in the hiring process for all announcements.
