Position serves as the Lead Operations Officer in a Regional Operations Center (ROC), Office of Policy, International Affairs, and Environment (APL), National Engagement and Regional Administration (ARA).
Duties
The position reports to the ROC Manager, and will serve as Environment (APL), National Engagement and Regional Administration (ARA). The position reports to the ROC Manager, and will serve as the non-supervisory lead for the ROC team to schedule cross-ROC collaboration, implement greater consistency, quality and standardization, ensure efficient transfers of operations, analyze trends, maintain databases and Standard Operating Procedures. The incumbent supports the ROC Manager during routine daily operations, regional and national disasters and contingency operations.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is: Experience integrating communications and information systems within the National Airspace System (NAS); and collecting information from multiple sources, in order to validate and give context during critical incidents. Applicants ideally also have experience in a Regional Operations Center, Air Traffic Control, Aircraft Operations, processing Aircraft Accidents/Incidents, and/or aircraft operations (e.g., Pilot License, mechanic certification, etc).
