About the Position: This position is located at US ARMY SPECIAL OPS AVIATION COMMAND ACOFS, G-3, at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Establishes and maintains a long-range strategic communication and Key Leader engagement schedule. Provides technical data to analysts at higher and adjacent headquarters on specific problems within a common area of responsibility. Attends meetings, briefings, working sessions, and other sessions of an informal or formal nature, to discuss and advise officials regarding program requirements and activities.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• Completion of Defense Security Cooperation University Basic Level Security Cooperation courses is preferred.
• Completion of the Joint Special Operations University "Special Operations Forces - Security Cooperation.
• Must be a previously rated U.S. Army Aviator. Are you a previously rated Army Aviator.

Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience which includes providing Army Special Operations Aviation (ARSOA) support to U.S. Special Operations forces. Conducting aviation capability and force modernization development, ARSOA peculiar testing and acquisition initiatives, ARSOA force generation and recruiting, and conducting and facilitating SOF aviation specific allied partner capacity training and inter-operability initiatives. Performs as the USASOAC SOF Aviation Security Assistance/Security Cooperation program manager. Some positions allow education as a substitution for experience this position is based off experience alone.
