Duties

You will provide a full range of administrative support duties including planning, coordination, and prioritization of tasks. You will represent the Division in all clerical matters both internal and external. You will screen all incoming telephone calls for proper channeling. You will compose and review incoming correspondence for conformance with current regulatory format, ensuring appropriate content and grammar. You will conduct research of regulations, files and records and/or contact personnel in other organizational elements to obtain information. You will maintain records, reports, and files, ensuring the necessary changes, amendments, deletions, and recessions are accurately and timely posted, and material is appropriately distributed. You will make necessary travel arrangements for travel (foreign and domestic) including appropriate allowances and differentials, notifying organizations and officials to be visited. You will maintain the Division Head’s calendar to reflect appointments and conferences.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DG-03) or grade level (GS-5/6) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing a full range of office management procedures to support the planning, coordinating and/or prioritizing of tasks; 2) Maintaining records, reports and/or files to ensure information is accurately posted; 3) Preparing and processing travel documents, including travel orders, vouchers, and itineraries; and 4) Maintaining calendar/scheduling appointments and arranging meetings and/or conferences.
