You will serve as a Senior Office Manager in the Sustainment Group, Aviation Readiness & Resources Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will play a key role in the onboarding of new employees, as well as handling transfers, separations, and retirements.
You will provide information to new employees and ensure proper completion and distribution of new hire paperwork.
You will create and maintain an employee training database.
You will inform employees on how to access required training and track completion deadlines.
You will file and manage records and documents accurately and efficiently.
You will ensure PII is managed in accordance with federal policy.
You will assist employees with travel arrangements by performing travel preparation, processing, and vouchering through DTS.
You will obtain, maintain, and sustain a government purchase card to support approximately 100 buys per year.
You will work with other office managers across the group to ensure supply inventories are maintained for office spaces and associated support equipment.
You will maintain calendars, coordinate meeting arrangements, and schedule meetings and conferences.
You will properly channel incoming calls and scheduling requests to meet department staff’s priorities, commitments, and program goals.
You will regularly handle administrative matters independently as well as in collaboration with other office managers across the Sustainment Group.
You will routinely prepare official memos and correspondence.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band (DG-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include some or all of the following: Performing general office clerical support to include preparation of standard correspondence, reports and other documents ensuring proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and format in accordance with the Naval Correspondence Manual; 2) Preparing and processing travel documents, including travel orders, vouchers, itineraries, visit requests/security clearances, invitational and foreign travel requests; 3) Assisting with new hire coordination efforts, and creates new hire related paperwork requirements (i.e., badging, SAAR-N); 4) Using the Microsoft Office 365 tools suite; and 5) Demonstrating skills as a detail oriented professional and being able to work as part of a team.
