You will serve as a Senior Digital Forensics Analyst in the Cyber Warfare Department, Cyber Resiliency Division, Aviation Cyber Forensics Laboratory (ACFL), and Defensive Cyber Engineering and Operations Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will participate in installing, configuring, optimizing, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and performing preventive maintenance on personal computers, digital devices, and operating system.
You will perform digital and network assessment for assigned network systems.
You will demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of forensic examination processes and investigations to accomplish program goals and objectives.
You prepare IT reports and associated documentation in support assigned IT program.
You will provide technical leadership and direction to other employees who may be involved in performing cyber security, digital forensics reviews, and related IT work activities.
You will collaborate with program stakeholders to identify and integrate cyber forensics principals and methods into aspects of the unit under examination.
You will perform other duties as assigned.

- You must obtain and maintain credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area of Cyber Defense Forensics Analyst at the Expert proficiency level within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized IT Specialist and Information Security experience equivalent to the DS-04 Pay Band or equivalent Grade Level (GS-11/12) in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: (1) Installing, configuring, optimizing, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and performing preventive maintenance on personal computers, digital devices, and operating systems; (2) Performing digital and network assessments; (3) Demonstrating working knowledge and understanding of forensic examination processes and investigations; (4) Preparing IT reports and associated documentation in support assigned IT program/project; (5) Providing technical leadership and direction to other employees who may be involved in performing cyber security, digital forensics reviews, and related IT work activities; and (6) Collaborating with program stakeholders to identify and integrate cyber forensics principals and methods into aspects of the unit under examination. Additionally, your experience in the information technology field has equipped you with knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
