About the Position: This position is located at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) under the policy guidance and direction of the AD Director of Staff (AD DS) Financial Operations (j-8) Facilities Enterprise (FE) Financial Management in Falls Church, VA. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Reviews long-range budgetary and program requirements. Make recommendations to senior officials regarding approval of administrative change requests within the organization. Provide staff direction regarding all issues related to the overall direction and management of the administrative operations functions. Provide advice, guidance and/or render decisions on specific problems identified by management. Use sound judgment and discretion in determining intent and interpreting regulatory guidance. Ensure the efficient and economical use of resources to determine maximum efficiencies. Review new and revised agency policies for clarification and/or additional interpretation as required. Analyzes annual planning and programming documents. Prepare guidance and planning advice to senior managers on new policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
