You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the FORD Class Program Office (PMS 378P) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE CARRIERS.
Duties
You will be responsible for project-level management required to establish project priorities and milestones.
You will manage the acquisition of project requirements and engage peers and other competencies in cost, schedule, and technical facets of new construction project requirements.
You will practice accountability of project management through the phases of system acquisition and sustainment, as applicable, while ensuring combat-ready aircraft carriers are delivered to the warfighter.
You will provide long-range plans for the cost, performance, schedule of diverse teams and acquisition efforts within the scope of assigned areas.
You will lead in the developing, organizing, analyzing, executing and monitoring of planned requirements at the project level.
You will lead studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects to evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, and/or compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.
You will develop evaluation plans, metrics, procedures, and methodology as a result of studies performed.
You will develop and track to completion mitigation plans that address aircraft carrier construction improvements.
You will lead coordination and resolution of issues associated with the processing of contract change order information.
You will communicate with leadership and prepares required briefings, white papers, executive summaries, and key information to support command decisions.
You will provide management of contractor Integrated Digital Shipbuilding (IDS) activities to include technical and programmatic oversight.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and analyzing program requirements or functions (e.g. cost estimates, project planning, scheduling, technical facets of new construction, systems acquisition, development and execution) to resolve problems, evaluate strategic direction, or manage risks for the improvement or sustainment of a Naval aircraft carrier or ship.
