Duties
You will coordinate projects (e.g., maintenance, repair, improvement) with activities to resolve facility related issues.
You will prepare technical documentation (e.g., design sketches, layouts, detail drawings, engineering reports, test reports) to maintain program area needs and requirements are addressed.
You will identify a problem to determine its impact on a project
You will test materials and substances to identify or establish conformance to specification requirements.
Requirements
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Facilities Engineers Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Applying knowledge of current building trades and practices, including the ability to design and inspect these principles; 2) Making recommendations for corrective measures through approved ordered work avenues available; 3) Utilizing knowledge of engineering fundamentals to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and contract specification; and 4) Preparing construction project scopes of work and independent cost estimates and completing project packages suitable for award to construction contractors.
