You will serve as a Supervisory Engineering Technician in the Engineering Business Line, PWC San Diego of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will analyze projects to evaluate progress and ensure performance is in accordance with technical objectives and identify issues that impact timely project completion.
You will develop reports which detail the status of a project.
You will develop project requirements based on new or revised legislation, regulations, or program changes.
You will review contractor's data (e.g., drawings, designs, specifications, delivery schedules) to verify compliance with contract data requirements.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, or the capabilities of employees.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide technical assistance on a wide variety of construction projects; 2) Implement and monitor project management strategies for building materials; 3) Monitor project operations to ensure compliance with specifications or contractual requirements; and 4) Ensure compliance with safety and environment requirements; 5)Oversee Recurring Maintenance Program which includes: MAXIMO data analysis, creation of job plans, scheduling preventative maintenance frequencies and job package Planning/Estimating; and 6) Provide leadership on engineering practices, maintenance and construction methods.
