This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS), Dallas Regional Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides operational support to RMS and the Division of Consumer Protection (DCP) professional and executive staff.

Duties
Assists with the preparation and processing of various examination, application and enforcement related actions or documents. Creates, maintains, and updates automated records; transmits information to banks; problem solves submission errors; and produces standardized reports.
Helps prepare responses to requests for application related forms, instructions and information available pursuant to regulations and to the Freedom of Information Act within a timely manner.
Assists in preparing requests for Reports of Examinations from other Federal agencies.
Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence for scanning, indexing, distributing, and mailing by using PII/SI forms and automated systems, while following policy requirements to safeguard the data.
Serving as a quality control coordinator for the region’s document imaging and distribution system. This duty includes uploading, indexing and maintaining the workflow of documents.
Assisting with special projects, tests new reports, systems, or tools. Assists with data validation, verification processes in proprietary systems. Assists with researching, gathering, and compiling information for special studies, analyses, or speaking engagements for senior staff.
Contributing with the coordination of application review, processing, and notifications through research, preparation, and retrieval of related documentation within FDIC and from other state and federal agencies.
Receives telephone calls and visitors to the office, determines nature of business, registers guest with building and office security, and answers inquiries regarding information of a non-technical nature based upon own knowledge of the program and organization.
Assisting with meetings by coordinating meeting space, arranging with outside speakers, vendors, and guests; verifying vendor credentials and orders, overseeing room setup, preparing meeting materials, escorting outside guests, and serving as primary point of contact while an event is in session.
Providing clarification on administrative policies, practices, and procedures as it relates to their area of support. Assists with activities in the review function that contribute to overall regional operations. Performs timekeeper duties.
Initiating reordering of consumable office supplies by preparing requisition forms or other items required by corporate policy or guidance.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-05 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience serving in an office support capacity performing four (4) of the following tasks: drafting correspondence, managing mail and postage, tracking activities and project completion, filing records, receiving callers to the office, and using software to prepare written materials.
