About the Position: This position is with the Southwestern Division of the US Army Corps of Engineers. You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant providing advice to the Director and staff regarding methods and procedures associated with administrative support systems.
Duties
Serve as primary timekeeper and act as a liaison between the Resource Management Office, supervisors, and employees to resolve problems with pay, allotments, new employee information, timekeeping errors, and other related functions.
Oversee and coordinate general administrative functions of the Division HQ to include correspondence, mail, publications, records management, preparation of travel orders and vouchers and general administrative support.
Serve as Records Coordinator and provide oversight and guidance on proper use of filing system.
Serve as Government purchase Card holder responsible for purchasing of services, supplies, and training.
Assist with the planning and execution of various ceremonies, conferences, training, town halls, etc.
Ensure compliance of Army program policies and regulations with all purchases and record keeping requirements.
Ensure overtime and compensatory approval as well as tracking all special needs such as advance leave, LWOP and family leave program.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Preparing correspondence, memorandums and/or spreadsheets using automated computer software AND 2) Monitoring budget expenditures related to office supplies or office equipment AND 3) Coordinating and preparing travel plans, travel orders and/or vouchers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
