You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Analysis and Assessments Branch of the TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties

You will assist the Technology Section Head, and serve as the technical authority responsible for developing applications using Microsoft's Power Platform. You will design, document, develop, modify, test, install, integrate, implement, and support new or existing software based on Power Platform. You will serve as the Technology Section Head (when needed), and report to Branch Head, who reports directly to Director, PSD, a Marine Colonel. You will work with stakeholders to develop software solutions from concept to implementation. You will analyze data and address any security inefficiencies within the organization's applications. You will use various databases and applications to review software development lifecycles. You will write advanced SQL queries and conduct design and code reviews.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Using Microsoft Power Platform or similar application to design and develop software solutions from development through implementation; 2) Developing Canvas applications and Model Driven applications; 3) Designing data models, writing functions and stored procedures, building views, and writing advanced SQL queries; 4) Using software development applications (For Example: Agile) to create development methods and processes to develop and review software lifecycle work products; and 5) Communicating with management on the identification of security vulnerabilities and providing status updates on corrective action plans to improve security. Education

Basic Education Requirement:

All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.

Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
