Duties
Reviews organizational information, previous audit and inspection reports, applicable Department of Army or United States Air Force regulations, and activity mission statements to identify tentative sub-objectives or “firm” objectives.
Participates in providing management consulting services on all aspects of improving management operations for the state.
Accomplishes management studies by applying professional best business practices and basic audit techniques to gather, document, and summarize data.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- The employee will be required to take a drug test.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- IAW DoD 1300.26 you will have to complete the appropriate Financial Level certification designated by the position and/or supervisor. Failure to do so may result in termination.
- The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 24 months of experience, education, or training which has provided application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management. Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems. Must have at least 12 months of experience at the next lower level or equivalent.

Education
If you are using Education to qualify for this position, master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-
09. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
