About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Management Analyst at the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) with the Deputy Chief of Staff/G-3 in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Coordinate with budget personnel to ensure adequate funds are available for upcoming organizational missions.
Serve as the Command Conference action officer reviewing, staffing, and tracking conference approval packages.
Analyze administrative policies and procedures pertaining to organizational operations ensuring regulatory compliance is being followed.
Review and approve travel for the G-3 using computer-based software for approval regarding temporary duty travel for personnel.
Monitor the status of staff actions ensuring organizational deadlines are met.
Serve as a Staff Action Officer with responsibility for fully managing, reviewing, and providing recommendations on staff actions for key programs and issues relating to USASMDC’s overall mission.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a secret clearance.
- 10% Temporary travel duty is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Analyze organizational missions and functions to correctly task organizational elements, and be knowledgeable with computer-based tasking software; 2). Evaluate the efficiency of organizational procedures to provide recommendations for improvement; and 3). Utilize computer-based application software databases to review temporary travel duty documents and vouchers for personnel ensuring prompt payments are disbursed accordingly.
