About the Position: Serves as Program Analyst for V Corps Current Operations Directorate.Performs analysis and planning to support the execution of contingency peacetime missions and force modernization, coordinates emergency planning policies, and training evaluation programs to attain optimum maximum use. This position is located in Fort Knox, KY.
Duties
Coordinates planning policies to attain optimum maximum use of training evaluation programs.
Analyzes training requirements and accomplishments and provides written recommendations.
Prepares organizational charts information on organizations and functional responsibilities of various staff elements for the overall assessments of force structure security.
Advises managers and staff on procedural requirements and participates in developing supplementary instructions covering reporting requirements and deadlines for implementation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 5 Top Secret Clearance.
- Must complete a pre-employment drug test and accomplish random drug testing and/or drug testing for suspicion of drug use thereafter.
- Must be able to work extended and/or other than normal duty hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to the extent
determined by the supervisor.
- Must be able perform a Temporary Change of Station (TCS) for not less than 6 months, but no more than 30 months.
- Must be able to work under austere living conditions, as well as share accommodation under field conditions (containers, tents and/or barracks).
- Must be able to perform business related travel up to 60% of the time.
- Must be able to receive inoculations IAW DoD requirements for travel to specific countries.
- Must be able to travel using military transportation or non-commercial means of travel.
- This position is designated Mission Essential.
- IAW DoD Policy, must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee Special Issuance Passport (SIP) and associated visa while assigned to a Federal
civilian position in an area requiring a passport and associated visa.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Forces Certificate of License.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: perform analysis and planning to support missions; provide oversight of training personnel; manage, review and provide recommendations for programs; compose correspondence regarding regulations and/or procedures. . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Program Analyst.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
