You will serve as a CAREER PATH COUNSELOR in the PRODUCT LINE DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will provide general education, guidance, and assistance to employees seeking to develop by pursing job-related instruction or self-improvement courses. You will enter data into programs like excel and be able to monitor pertinent data to identify and analyze trends and provide management with recommendations. You will research and develop training or education materials in response to employee development needs. You will schedule and track employee meetings, keeping record of employee interactions, plans, and interests for follow-up and development progression. You will collaborate with trade management to pass along employee development, experience and training needs or interests.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating career workforce development and training programs by analyzing trade and career path qualification requirements to provide individualized plans for employees looking to explore various career paths and self-development opportunities.
