Duties

Responsible for programming, budgeting, controlling, and administering the use of appropriated funds. Serve as the principal advisor to the Budget Officer on all budgetary matters. Execute a major segment of the organization budget or a total budget for one or more funds. Analyzes headquarters programs and budgetary guidance. Proposes alternative methods of financing unfunded requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and retain Secret Security Clearance.
  • Incumbent of this position may be required or placed on-call to participate in the emergency operation center, DPTMS in the event of a emergency, crisis, or training exercise.
  • This position has Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
  • This position is a financial management Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012.
