You will serve as a LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.
Duties
You will work independently and report directly to the Facilities Maintenance Director who is also the incumbent's supervisor.
You will provide first level guidance and support to the other Engineering Technicians in the department and serve as the primary backup when the Facilities Maintenance Director is unavailable.
You will resolve simple, informal complaints from the staff and refer other items such as formal grievances and appeals to the supervisor.
You will serve as a coach and facilitator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among the team.
You will provide technical expertise and advice to staff members for maintenance/repair and construction techniques, building codes and other related regulations.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing facility restoration and modernization of minor construction, sustainment of class II real property, improved and unimproved grounds within the assigned zones while also managing all service contracts pertaining to facilities maintenance.
