About the Position: This is a Human Resources Assistant (Military), GS-0203-07, position is located at the Human Resources Command, The Adjutant General Directorate, Evaluations Selections and Promotions Division, Fort Knox, KY.
Duties
Reviews incoming correspondence to remove second party letters and any letters of criticism or any document that reflects negatively.
Reviews promotion zone master file, transcripts and other data sources to determine eligibility for promotion consideration.
Accurately enters data in Army Selection Board System by consistently making additions, revisions or deletion of records to keep them current.
Provides appropriate advice and guidance to other personnel on actions in areas of expertise.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Make revisions to records/files in accordance with regulations. AND 2). Verify data utilizing automated systems. AND 3). Perform complete review of records to ensure accuracy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
