Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as advising on regulatory and/or policy issues related to pesticides; collaborating with internal and external partners on pesticide risk assessments.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Skill in interpreting and applying pesticide regulations; 2) Skill in applying technical data; 3) Skill in developing regulatory, policy and guidance documents; 4) Skill in complex problem solving; 5) Skill in written communication; 6) Skill in oral communication; 7) Skill in providing customer service to external stakeholders; 8) Skill in project management.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
