About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Reserve Command, Office of the G-3/5 located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Investigate to determine the cause of any managerial and/or organizational failures and recommends alternative solutions for corrective action or systems improvement.
Formulate alternative solutions based upon in-depth knowledge of the USAR mission and organizational channels.
Review priorities and validates resolution of differences of opinion, conflicts in schedules and funding priorities.
Perform analysis of Army Reserve deployment data, manning data, training strategy, manning strategy and readiness objectives utilizing a variety of the information systems including submitted Unit Status Reports (USR).
Identify potential and actual problems/impediments to all interested and impacted organizations.
Coordinate the identification and communication of alternative solutions to solve problems.
Attend meetings, conferences, and briefings concerning the full range of Army Reserve Transformation topics (such as “Force Generation Operations” and “Force Projection and Plans”).
Represent USARC and its subordinate activities at hearings and public meetings promoting the commands interests and explaining its policies.
Prepare presentations, executive summaries, generate and consolidate reports, executive summaries suitable for general officer correspondence.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Collaborating in a DoD Force Generation environment; 2) Developing and coordinating Operations Orders, Briefings, Decision Making briefs, Operational Planning groups (OPG) and functional working group actions; 3) Contributing to the Total Army Analysis process or other DoD component equivalent; familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process; 4) Performing analysis of force structure initiatives and their effects to the overall force; 5) Providing Force Management (FM) interface and coordination between stakeholders; 6) Utilizing Force Management automated information systems and databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
