About the Position: As the Administrative Support Assistant, the incumbent is responsible for the implementation and management under the guidance of the Division Administrative Officer on all administrative activities for the Branch.
Duties
Participate in fiscal functions involving the formulation and execution of operating budgets, assessment of resources, and maintenance and control of multiple facility accounts.
Establish internal administrative procedures to improve operational efficiencies and timeliness of services.
Receive visitors and telephone calls to respond to requests for information.
Perform various administrative tasks including timekeeping, inventory/supply management, purchase orders, travel requests.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support functions associated with budgeting, information flow, personnel, mail sorting and distribution, and time keeping. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
