Duties
Works as part of the DCAS PMO on various taskings related to system documentation, releases, audit related testing, and other duties as required.
Coordinates with all appropriate DFAS organizations including Operations, ESS Partners, Information and Technology, and Site Operations as well as other offices as needed.
Participates in assigned program phases, such as the development of design, implementation, and sustainment methodologies, strategies, and solutions.
Performs extensive review, research, and analysis of proposed methodologies, strategies, and solutions to identify gaps and inaccuracies.
Consistently collaborates with all appropriate program personnel and teams to resolve issues, integrate processes and ensure a consistent solution.
Reviews and evaluates existing finance and accounting policies, standards, and procedures to develop improved working processes that utilize effective systemic capabilities.
Continuously collaborates with the Service participants, stakeholders, and other DFAS staff, to ensure integration and uniformity between the process areas.

- Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Performing analysis of financial management policies, procedures, internal controls, and regulations significant enough to recommend initiatives to increase effectiveness and efficiency of finance operations; demonstrating substantive knowledge of financial management principles as they relate to automated systems processing and operations; and providing in-depth finance support to leadership in carrying out financial missions with allocated resources.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
