Recruiting for a Facility Operations Specialist, NH-1640-03, position at the JPEO-CBRND Headquarters. Selected applicant will be assigned to the Chief of Safety, Security, and Facilities (SSF). The NH-03 pay band encompasses grades 12 and 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system. This position is subject to the NH-03 tier 2 salary control point established in the JPEO-CBRND Acquisition Demo Business Rules. This control point limits salary for this position to a max of $128,956 (GS-12, step 10).
Duties
Serves as the Facility Operations Specialist, determines operating, maintenance, improvement, and resource requirements for the JPEO-CBRND which includes providing facility services for other tenant activities.
Manages the operations and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Applies knowledge of organizational mission to provide input to the design, modification and maintenance of facilities.
Responsible for the development and coordination/accomplishment of facilities management programs.
Coordinate the planning, design, cost, engineering, construction, and environmental restoration for projects as measured by the diversity, geographical area, management demands, technical intricacies, and public issues.
Serve as technical specialist for all engineering and construction projects.
Perform inspections of structures and facilities as required for periodic Installation Status Report assessments.
Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for facility related service contracts.
Requirements

The JPEO-CBRND exists to manage our nation's investments in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense equipment. Our headquarters is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, but we have offices across the United States. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-2 (GS-11 grade level equivalent) in the Federal service which includes: 1) performing Master Planning duties including review of building layouts, and work/service orders; 2) controlling and managing project milestones and budgets throughout construction operations; 3) determining construction and restoration for engineering projects; 4) applying administrative laws and policies applicable to facilities management; AND 5) analyzing building specifications, drawings, repairs and changes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the NH-2 pay band (GS-11 position equivalent) in the federal service.
