You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (EMPLOYEE RELATIONS/PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT) in the COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPT, FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will identify modifications to an employee relations program to improve its effectiveness.
You will brief managers and employees on employee relations issues.
You will review awards packages (e.g., performance, time-off, on-the-spot, special act, meritorious civilian service) to ensure all requirements have
been met.
You will respond in writing to employee, applicant, manager inquiries.
You will extract data from information systems to evaluate the effectiveness of a training program.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing fact finding concerning Human resources programs, practices or complaints of limited complexity, analyzing employee relations problems/situations and recommending courses of action that meet organizational needs and are compliant with controlling statutes, regulations, policies and labor contract requirements. 2) Applying employee relations principles, practices, laws, and regulations, as well as a wide range of analytical and evaluative techniques sufficient to analyze problems/situations and recommending courses of action that meet organizational needs and are compliant with controlling statutes, regulations, policies and labor contract requirements; 3) Coordinating and managing programs which include performance management program, Disabled Veteran Leave, Paid Parental Leave, COVID Leave, Family & Medical Leave Act, Voluntary Leave Transfer Program, Telework, Employment Verification, Public Service Loan Forgiveness, Unemployment Compensation, CEAP, and other areas that impact work operations. 4) Preparing disciplinary letters, grievance responses and serving as a technical adviser during third party cases; 5) Assisting senior HR specialists in providing labor relations and employee relations consultative services
