You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) Branch of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Duties
You will be required to to write, review, interpret and update financial management policies and standard operating procedures (SOP).
You will establish and enhance financial improvement processes that support the achievement and sustainment of audit readiness.
You will assist with efforts to evaluate the operational design and effectiveness of internal controls.
You will perform substantive testing of key supporting documentation, and develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate financial reporting risks and audit findings.
You will coordinate across work-streams to monitor and report the status of tasks and deliverables and provide analytical and administrative support.
You will ensure the timely, successful completion of project tasks, respond to auditor's provided by client requests, reports or findings from the auditors.

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-13
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reviewing and analyzing financial transactions for compliance with financial management regulations, policies and instructions; developing and executing financial audit programs; and reviewing audit sample packages in order to support the achievement and sustainment of audit readiness.
For the GS-12
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector monitoring and analyzing accounting or financial management information systems (e.g., STARS-FL, SABRS, CFMS, WAWF, DAI, DTS, etc.) to ensure financial transactions are in compliance with financial management regulations, policies and instructions and preparing reports detailing an organization's audit readiness in order to support the achievement and sustainment of audit readiness.
