As a Program Analyst, you will be responsible for providing analyses of a variety of subject matters relating to assigned regional office program operations and assisting in planning and evaluating projects, which are procedural or limited in scope and complexity involving regional office organization.
Location: Public Buildings Service (PBS), National Capital Region (NCR) Washington, DC.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Analyze issues in assignments; select and apply analytical techniques: task analyses, work simplification, workflow charts, workload measurement, management, and organizational practices to determine the most efficient way to organize work.
Perform assignments that consist of learning the scope and foundation of agency administrative and program activities; agency missions, policies, and objectives; and management principles and processes to serve as an analyst to management on government programs.
Use analytical techniques to research and gather narrative and or statistical information and applicable work methods and procedures to meet deadlines and carry out the steps in fact-finding and analyses of issues to complete each phase of assigned work and or projects.
Assist in preparing and or delivering briefings to management and or senior staff employees on study findings and recommendations.

The GS-09 salary range starts at $68,405 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service.
OR
Two full years of graduate education or have a Masters or equivalent graduate or master's degree related to the position being filled
OR
A combination of higher level graduate education and experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized experience is gathering and analyzing data and information to assist in identifying, researching and proposing recommendations or solutions, and/or the implementation of policies and procedures in the administrative, management or program areas of an organization. Such experience must have included:
Following established methods and procedures or detailed instructions;
Using some judgment in applying analytical techniques;
Solving minor problems and making routine decision;
Knowledge of administrative processes or procedures in the area of the work.
