This position is part of the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response, Department of Energy. As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will be the principal expert authority and advisor to the Deputy Director for Risk Management Tools and Technology (RMT) Division.
Position is Remote (Restricted)- Applicants must be located within the local commuting area of Washington, DC which has been established as 125 miles or 2.5 hours.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or occasional business travel requirement.
- New supervisors are required to complete 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.
- New supervisors/managers are required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- This position is not included in a Bargaining Agreement.
- Obtain and maintain a "Q" security clearance. Failure to obtain and maintain the required security clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
- This position is approved as Remote (Restricted), but if selected you must reside within a realistic commuting distance of the DOE Worksite(s) specified in the vacancy announcement.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Applying basic budget management principles and practices (i.e. ability to maintain and manage financial resources);
Participating in determining program policies, formulation of policies, development of program plans, designs and issuance of directives and instructions, and the development of recommendations; and
Leading a team or project to analyze, evaluate, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
